Jessica Ames
About Jessica
Another staff member born and raised in Lowell, Jessica finds it especially rewarding to provide care to the community in which she grew up. She went to UMASS Amherst, where she received a bachelor’s degree in microbiology. “I then worked in a lab in a role that lacked direct patient care,” she says. That desire for direct patient care drove Jessica to make a change. “I went back to school to become a nurse practitioner and returned to serve my community.”
Jessica enjoys providing care in women’s health and, overall, providing comprehensive care as patients age. “To me, providing comprehensive, compassionate care, listening to patients’ issues, and building relationships with patients to foster trust are incredibly important,” she says.
Now, Jessica has more than 10 years of experience at Mill City Medical under her belt. “I enjoy collaborating with both my colleagues in our office and specialists within the community to ensure our patients receive the best possible care,” she says.”
When she’s not at Mill City Medical, Jessica likes to spend time with her husband and three children. “Plus, I enjoy baking, movie nights, and going to the beach,” she says.
