Bethany Rich
About Bethany
For Bethany Rich, nursing was a true calling. “I have no idea what else I would do if not caring for people,” says Bethany, who started her career as a registered nurse (RN) in Rhode Island in 1989. “I have always worked in healthcare.” In 2005, she moved to Massachusetts and worked as an intensive care unit (ICU) nurse at the Lahey Clinic (now Lahey Hospital & Medical Center).
The following decade saw Bethany go back to school, graduate from Rivier University, and become a nurse practitioner in 2015. Bethany joined Mill City Medical Practice in 2018. Armed with a holistic approach to patient care, she likes to include homeopathic remedies alongside current medical guidelines when possible and appropriate. The best part of being a nurse? “My favorite part of my job is when a patient comes back and says they feel better after being treated for a medical issue,” Bethany says. “That feeling of relieving any amount of suffering or discomfort gives me a sense of fulfillment.” Outside the office, she finds fulfillment spending time with her husband, their children, and their dogs.
