Laura Meehan

Laura is a native to the Greater Lowell area, having grown up in Dracut, Massachusetts. Lowell itself has always had a place in her heart due to attendance at various camps and events in the city throughout her youth. The sense of community and vibrant atmosphere Lowell offers has been a beacon of light and constant appeal to newcomers and locals alike.

Shortly after graduating from the University of New Hampshire in 2013 with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, Laura worked as a nurse in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Wanting to continue excelling in her profession, she graduated with her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Simmons University in 2022 and became a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)

The want to continue her education and excellence in Nursing came from her drive to impact patients’ lives in a positive way. “I deeply care about connecting with patients on a personal level and taking the time to listen to their concerns. Respect, kindness and empathy are the traits I lead with as a Nurse Practitioner to provide the best care possible.”

In her free time Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, who all keep her on her toes. She loves to read and relax during the fleeting New England summer months.

 “I am thrilled to come back to my roots in the Merrimack Valley via Mill City Medical and look forward to meeting patients who come to us both near and far.”
