Mary Traynor

Mary grew up in Minnesota and moved to Massachusetts in 2016 to pursue her master’s degree in nursing at Boston College. “I originally came to Mill City Medical in 2018 as a student during my clinical rotations,” she says. “And I was so impressed by the dedication and clinical excellence of the providers and staff that I applied to join the team.”

And we’re so glad she has. At Mill City, she is fulfilling a dream: “I have always wanted to work in primary care because of its emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention,” she says. She strives to provide her patients with the care, education, and support they need to meet their health goals and live their healthiest lives.

What’s more, she values the community of greater Lowell. It’s a society of “friendliness, sense of community, resilience, and good humor,” Mary says. I learn something new from my patients every day, and they always bring a smile to my face.” As a nurse who enjoys meeting people from all walks of life and building relationships with her patients, Lowell has been an ideal fit.

As a nurse practitioner, Mary’s goal is to provide holistic care. She strives to make her patients feel comfortable and respected when discussing their health goals and concerns. From there, she wants to empower her patients to achieve those health goals, tackle those concerns, and help them through times of sickness.

In her free time, Mary enjoys traveling, cooking, skiing, and spending time with her husband and cat.
